Steve was born in Creston, BC and spent his first 10 years in Riondel, BC.  Steve fondly remembered his time spent on the shores of Kootenay Lake fishing.  Steve’s family relocated to Kimberley, BC.  Growing up in Kimberley, Steve formed close friendships, many of which have endured to this day.  Upon completion of high school, Steve headed to Edmonton, Alberta in search of employment.  It was there that Steve began his career in the oil and gas sector.  Steve’s career spanned over 40 years.  For the last 25 years, Steve owned a successful rental business.  Steve was planning the retirement phase of his life.  His desire was to spend time fishing and travelling.

Steve will be remembered for his dedication and love for his family and friends.  Always willing to lend a hand when needed.  When you think of Steve, remember his big smile and even bigger heart.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cranbrook Oncology Department for the compassionate care they gave Steve.  Also, thank you to Dr. Elena Schroeder and the nursing staff on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Cranbrook hospital.  Your dedication to making Steve as comfortable as possible during his stay will be forever appreciated.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1 pm at the Stemwinder Bar & Grill, 300 N Star Blvd, Kimberley, BC.
