I’m saddened to hear of snuffys passing even though I was one of those DOT guys. He was a character for sure, often pulling up to my patrol car for a chat as I waited for speeders. Once while waiting our turn in the fernie court house I was seated in front of him. It was hot so I took off my patrol jacket draping it on the chair back. When it was time to put the coat back on I soon figured out he had tied the sleeves together. We had a good laugh at that one. He used to tell me all about the huge load of gravel he had just hauled and got away with which might actually have been true on occasion because he often hauled that grey stuff from peavine. Once me, Clem and Glenn waited in uniform with the kids for our chance to sit on his knee for the Santa picture we gave to our boss for Christmas. What a lark! So long snuffy, you were one of a kind and where ever you are I’m sure you’re smoking that stinky cigar and bs,ing somebody. I’m glad to have known ya
