Obituary of Carol Lavigne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carol Lavigne (née Machum), on December 10, 2024, after a brief battle with lung cancer.

 

Throughout her life, Carol developed a deep and abiding love for the outdoors. This passion for adventure led her to discover many special places and fishing spots, each one holding cherished memories. Her connection to nature was a constant source of joy and peace.

 

But above all, Carol’s love for her family and friends was her greatest gift. She was surrounded by the unwavering support and affection of her loved ones until her final moments. Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 

Carol leaves behind her children Shelley, Clifford, and Jennifer; her brother Bob; her sister Jackie; and her loving mother Francis. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren Sarah, Janie, Flynn, Anders, and Solveig, as well as by her many friends, who became like family over the years.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2025, for all who knew and loved Carol. Details will be shared closer to the date.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
