Obituary of Lilian Madsen

Please share a memory of Lilian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our Mother. Lilian was born in Esbjerg Denmark to Edith and Jurgen Taedeler.

The Family moved to Canada and resided in Edmonton when Lilian was 15 years old. In her early 20’s Lilian decided to go on an adventure by train to Vancouver to visit friends and find work. Shortly after she moved to Vancouver, BC Tel hired her as a drafts woman. One evening at a dance, a handsome man asked her out, he phoned a few times but she was playing hard to get.

Finally his persistence paid off. They dated, and a few months later they married and started their Family. In 2010 Lilian suffered a stroke, her therapy was her sewing. Lilian donated numerous lap quilts to the EK oncology dept. Her other hobbies included gardening and painting which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Lilian leaves to mourn her son Kim (Emily), daughter Karin (Bruce), grandkids Eric (Michelle), Kristen (Michi), great-grandsons Michael & Jack.
