Obituary of Aivar Modris Teteris

1951-2011

Aivar Modris Teteris passed away peacefully at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital on May 7, 2011 at the age of 60 years. He was born in Fort St. John, BC on April 26, 1951. Working in the forestry industry, Aivar and his family lived in many places in British Columbia including Ocean Falls, Tahsis, Powell River, Squamish and Salmon Arm before settling in Cranbrook. Aivar was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, camping, woodworking and doing never-ending projects on his 5 acres of land. He also enjoyed volunteering his time with the Fire Department, Search and Rescue, Scouts and Salvation Army.

Aivar will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mara, sons Peter (Elise) and Bailey (Erin); daughter Carli; sister Lolita (Dennis) Augustine; nieces Carmen, Sonja, Yvonne and Sabrina. Aivar was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Zelma.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at the family home 2367 Wilson Rd, Cranbrook, BC. Pot luck to follow.
