Obituary of Romeo Louis Pellegrin

1938-2011

It is with great sadness that the family of Romeo Pellegrin announce his passing on May 8, 2011 after a courageous 21 year battle with leukemia. Romeo passed away peacefully at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Romeo was born on March 15, 1938 in Cranbrook, BC to parents Angelo and Vittoria Pellegrin. He had a love for life and enjoyed many things including golfing, gardening, bowling, woodworking, painting and wine making but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Romeo will be sadly missed by his brother Alfeo (Mary) Pellegrin; sister Elda McCutcheon; sister-in-law Cathy (Frank) Fiorentino; nephews, Rick (Joan) Pellegrin, and Jeff (Sherry) Pellegrin, Steven (Diana) Pellegrin, Michael Pellegrin, David (Lisa) Pellegrin, Colin Pellegrin, Terry McCutcheon, Pat (Sandra) McCutcheon; Nieces, Lori (Arthur) McCutcheon, Paula (Dean) McCutcheon, Joan (Mark) Bostock, Cheryl Mackie and special friend Kate Fox.

Romeo was predeceased by his parents Angelo and Vittoria Pellegrin; his wife Doreen Pellegrin; brothers Albano and Nerino Pellegrin; nephew Gerald Pellegrin and in-laws Fred and Hazel Kalt and brother-in-law Gordon McCutcheon.

A memorial service will be held in honour of Romeo on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at McPherson Funeral Service, 2200 2nd St S, Cranbrook, BC.

A private family interment in the Westlawn Mausoleum will take place at a later date.
