1949 - 2013

It is with deep sorrow that the family announce the passing of a dear husband, father and brother on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Invermere and District Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Ken "Puff Ball" was born on March 17, 1949 in Meath Park, Saskatchewan. He moved to Cranbrook in 1961 where he finished school. Ken spent most of his working years in the logging industry. His hobby was wheeling and dealing and repairing vehicles. He also loved to play pool, cards and aggravation. He took pride in his teasing. Ken was married to Sharon for 42 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon and his son Stewart. He also leaves behind his sisters Judy (Dave), Joan (Ron), Nora (Ray), Opal (Ron), Janet (Terry), his brothers Richard (Charlene) and Burton (Karen), his brother-in-law Don (Joan) Cook and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his baby Kirk James Cook, his mother Kay Smith, his dad Adam Smith, his brothers Gary and Jeffrey, his sister Patricia Schepp and his in-laws Jim and Lorraine Cook.

A memorial service for Ken will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Ken may do so to the: Invermere and District Hospital, 850 - 10th Avenue, Invermere, British Columbia, V0A 1K0.
