Walter was part of growing up in Canal Flats. School times, curling, followed by Swedish pancakes at my house with our friends. A great model of a kind person for all of us teenagers. Everyone will miss Walter. Condolences to all his family. Diane

My first job withe Crestbrook had me working with Walter and Murdoch MacKinnon in the old shipping office. Walt was a gentle man who was respected by all who worked for him. I still remember his dad coming up and having coffee with him a couple times a week. Walt was a true ambassador for Canal Flats that's for sure. Take care Walt we'll see you soon.
