Hi Linda,
I just learned of Rene's passing. I hope you can forgive me for being so late in expressing my condolences.
He (and you) were wonderful neighbors. I will always be grateful for the support you gave me when Jo-Ann died. I am sorry that I can not be there to support you in your time of need. All I can do is hope that the memories of your years together with a good man will sustain you until the grief subsides and acceptance and understanding appears. I know from personal experience that people from Slaterville are resilient.
The world is poorer with his death but I will honor his memory and, by so doing, help to address some of this loss.
Ken Reid

I worked with Rene for many years at B. C. Tel. Thinking back I realize I never heard Rene say a bad or unkind word about anyone! That is quite a legacy to leave. He was a kind, gentle and very talented man who will be missed by many.
"Hold your wonderful memories close to your heart" is my message to his family.

In loving memory of Grandpa Rene we send much love to you all in Cranbrook. We are so sorry we are not able to be with you but are there in spirit. We have been showing photos to Rod and Yukari and have posted a few of our favorite memories on the Tribute Wall. We remember the fun trailer rides, behind the John Deere tractor of course, games in the backyard and sitting by the fire outside. We are grateful for the memories and trust that Grandpa Rene can now rest in peace.
Love Jennifer, Olivia and Sam.

Sorry to hear of Rene's passing. I have many fond memories of our young life . We went to school together, college together, and had many outings together such as going to dances, in St Albert and Morinville. And many more that I could mention but would be much to long in this memory. I believe the last time we met was in 1985 at the Family Re-union. I am diagnosed with Parkinson,s also but in the beginning of it. I found out roughly 1 year ago. Your sufferings are now over. So Rene I would like to send you my condolences and may you rest in peace, my friend.
