Vera............I'm having a hard time saying goodbye. But then I remember how selfish I am. She is finally peaceful. Mike and Vera left us only five months appart. They always treated me like a daughter.
I once had to be flown to Calgary for medical reasons and I CA remember being in Calgary Hospital, still on the stretcher they flew me on and the 3 of the most important people to me were there. Wayne, Vera and Mike. As I was being flown, they were driving to get there in time to see me before I was to go into surgery. That was just one of many times they were there for me. You all made sure I was loved.
Vera was a great role model to me. Things that might sound strange to other people but they were huge to me. The first time I saw a women with a drivers license, her own friends that went on trips together often. She always had her own money and grocery shopped...... normal things to everyone, but not to me.She always put everyone before herself. When I couldn't eat cause nothing agreed with me, she would whip up a batch of Petahe ( my spelling of it sucks), a Russian food that takes a lot of time and work. She would whip me up a bunch just so I would have some food in my tummy.
I want to thank Mike for having Vera call me to thank me for s dinner Wayne and I had made them that night for supper. She at that time was unable do just simply make a call like that. But I know that Mike made that possible. I was on cloud nine for a very long time......maybe still.
I love you with all my heart.
Love always,
Connie xoxo ? ?

Grandma A. was one of most caring, loving, thoughtful, and special people in my generously family filled life.
I cannot imagine my upbringing and life without her. She was the queen of Russian food, a master in the garden, and even taught me a thing or two about cross stich and knitting.
I will always hold close memories of Christmas eve and fondues at her and Grandpa's house, countless nights together camping and playing cards in their motor home, my favorite lemon meringue cake for my birthday with wrapped up loonies and toonies inside, and her and Grandpa's unselfish dedication to my baseball career.
She lived every day for her family and it showed.
I envy to have what her and Grandpa had and will do my best to carry on all the life lessons and character traits they have instilled in myself.
I will miss you every day, and will always have you in my heart.
Love always,
Tyson
