Obituary of Bjorg Randi Lund

1926 - 2011

Bjorg Randi "Bea" Lund passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 7, 2011 at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Bea was born on April 10, 1926 in Honefoss, Norway. She was the eighth child of Hans and Laura Andersen. Bea immigrated to Canada in 1950 and has lived in Cranbrook since 1959. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, skiing, camping but her best delight was berry picking. Bea was a Life Member of the Scandinavians of East Kootenay. Bea loved her family and was famous for her homemade buns and Norwegian baking.

Bea was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Anton. She is survived by her brother Willy Andersen in Sweden, her daughter Berit (Jerry) Macdonald of Cranbrook, BC, her sons Ken (Cheryle) of Tucson, Arizona and Tony (Margaret) of Cranbrook, BC; her grandchildren Kim Kyllo, Tracey Stock, Kent Macdonald, Erica Peterson, James, Amanda and Jenna Lund, 8 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and cousins in Alberta and Norway.

A funeral service for Bea will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook at 10:00 am.
