Obituary of Doreen Jensen

1929-2011

It was a beautiful sunny day on July 10, 2011 when mom passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 82 with her loving family at her side.

She was unwavering in life and always kind, generous, honest and faithful. Mom was an incredible cook with a famous pastry drawer and an endless supply of candy. She will be remembered gardening, knitting, singing, cheering at hockey games and having coffee with friends. She was a devoted member of the Eagles, St Anne Sewing Circle and CWL. Mom's greatest passion was her family. Her loving smile and warm hugs will embrace us forever!

Doreen is survived by sons Jim (Gail), Larry (Sherry), Tim (Julie) of Vancouver and daughter Kayla (Rod) Smaldon, brother Mario (Marge) Pettoello of Spokane, grandchildren: Diana, Laurie, Lindsay, Wade, Darin, Kurt, Heather, Nick, Erick, Jordan, Kristin and Cameron, 6 beautiful great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Elvin, son Chris and grandson Jake.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lenz, Val Paolini, and Christina Watson for their medical and emotional support.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Church on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Eagle's hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
