Obituary of Gerald Donald Alan Hersey

1933 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gerald Donald Alan Hersey announces his sudden peaceful passing while sleeping, on July 16, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 78 years of age.

Don was born on February 5, 1933 in Freeport, Digby Country, Nova Scotia. He lived a long productive life. He will be missed by all of us.

Don is survived by Lynn Stapley, Danny Hersey, James Hersey, his stepdaughter Marti-Anne Munro, his grandson Ryan Bonany, and two granddaughters Elaina Hersey and Briana Hersey. He will also be loving remembered by Karen Hersey. He was predeceased by his father Ralph, his mother Ethel, his brother Malcolm, and two sisters Shirley and Margarite.

At Don's request there will be no service. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Don my do so to the Alzheimer Society.
