Obituary of Henry Eugene Pommier

1926 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Henry Eugene Pommier announces his passing on Friday, July 22, 2011 in Kimberley, British Columbia at 85 years of age.

Henry was born on May 13, 1926 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. He was a quiet, kind and generous man. He loved his cars and collecting coins. Henry served in the armed forces during WWII. He loved to buy Christmas presents for his many nieces and nephews. Henry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 56 years. He was a Cominco employee for 40 years.

Henry leaves to mourn his passing his three brothers and one sister: Ernest, John and Leon Pommier and Marie Pike. He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Marie Pommier and four brothers. A memorial service for Henry will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 am. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Henry may do so to the: Kimberley Special Care Home, 386 - 2nd Avenue, Kimberley, British Columbia, V1A 2Z8. Henry will be Interred in Kimberley Cemetery at a later date.
