My name is Patricia Fitz-Patrick nee Greene. Shawn was my cousin Gerry's son and my husband Ross and I had the pleasure of attending Shawn's swimming banquets in support with his mother and grandmother. We also took Shawn to the Shrine Circus and Calgary Stampede where we watched a lama devour his ice cream from his hand, and will never forget the look on his face.
We also enjoyed taking him to Calgary Flames hockey games once they arrived in town at the old Stampede Corral.
Although we lost touch with him as he grew up and started his own family, and reunited with his father, we treasure the memories we have and are deeply sorry for his untimely passing.
We wish his wife Helen, his children, father, step mother and siblings the strength and courage to get through this difficult time.
I would also like to offer condolenses from my siblings(Shawn's second cousins), Larry, Florence, Cathy, Mary Frances and Theresa.
We would have attended the service but we were unfortunately out of town.
