Obituary of Doreen Erma Quaife

1925 - 2011

 

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Doreen Erma Quaife announces her passing on August 24, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 86 years of age.

Doreen was born on July 9, 1925 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In her early years, Doreen enjoyed spending time with her favourite horse Gypsy and the milk cows. She loved sewing, crocheting, knitting for her family, and spending time in her garden. She loved spending time with her family. Hearing the sounds of her laughing grandchildren and great grandchildren playing made her very happy. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Doreen is survived by her daughters: Velma (Earl) and Meldoreen (Tom); her sons: Baron (Barb) and Terry (Betty); her grandchildren: Cameron (Joleen), Dean (Dallas), Tiara (Nelson), Jodie (Brent), Kevin (Lisa), Jason (Amy), Calvin (Terri), Jared (Nikki), 15 great grandchildren, and her brother Barry Corrigal. She was predeceased by her loving husband Melvin, her parents Fred and Bertha Corrigal, her sister Velma and her brother Derl.

A memorial service for Doreen will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Tuesday, August 30, 201 at 2:00 pm. Her Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Doreen Quaife may do so to the F. W. Green Memorial Home.
