Obituary of Evelyn Amelia Tacholsky

1924 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Evelyn Amelia Tacholsky announces her passing on September 11, 2011.

Evelyn was born on September 2, 1924 in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Evelyn married Nicholai Lupton, and they were together for 20 years. She was then married to John Tacholsky. John and Evelyn were married almost 37 years.

Evelyn was a Lady who loved life. She was interested in interior design, travel and fashion. She finished her career as an executive assistant for the Government of Saskatchewan, working for the Department of Highways.

Evelyn was predeceased by her first husband Nicholai Lupton; her sister Peggy Grant; and her mother Amelia Soder (nee Paice). She is survived by her second husband John Tacholsky; her daughters Lynda (David) Farrell (nee Lupton), their son Mathew, and daughter Laura-Lee; and Patricia Lupton and her daughter Hannah Grover; her brother Ted Soder and his sons: Michael Soder and Bradley Soder, and also Susan Sutherland (Soder); her nieces and Nephews: David Grant, Rick Grant, Barb Grant, Dick Lupastin, and Eileen Schuster (Lupastin).

A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 17th at 2:00 pm. Memorial Donations in honour of Evelyn can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
