I feel very blessed to have had Corrina as a sister-in-law. All the memories I will always treasure of her, she was my bridesmaid, I her matron of honor, she my daughter Sue's godmother and my daughter Jenn's mentor with horses... I could go on and on. She truly was special, and a part of her will remain with every one of us who have been so fortunate to have known and loved her. Corrina will be sadly missed and will always be in my heart.

Dear Aunt Corrina,
I miss you being here on Earth. You are an amazingly kind, animal-and-people-loving altruist and although I saw you mainly at weddings and Christmas celebrations at Grandma and Grandpa's, I tried to keep in touch with cards and letters. Hope you read them and know how much I care. At your memorial, I heard wonderful stories of your life and I feel blessed to believe that I know you even a little better now. A part of me still can't grasp the enormity of this tragedy and chooses to believe that Grandma or Jennifer will call us one of these days to tell us that you're out of the hospital and back at home resting. If there really is a Heaven, I believe you're there, riding the beautiful unicorns with the angels.
Love lasts forever, from
Nicolas

I was blessed to have Corrina as my Aunt. For as long as i remember i have called her Auntie...she was "The Auntie" and never needed her name to follow in reference. Even now in my 30's i still call her that. Auntie was like the big sister i never had..she bought me my first make up and taught me how to drive at 15. My favorite summers where the ones spent at Auntie & Daves place in Kelowna. I will miss her passion for life, her attention to detail and her witty comments that, as a teenager, almost made me fall off my chair. She passed on to me her passion and love of horses, the sweet smell of a barn and worn leather...and good wine. I could go on forever about her.
If tears could build a stairway
and thoughts a memory lane
I'd walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again
I love you and miss you Auntie.

Dave:
I only met Corrina twice and Roxanne only met her once but she made an impression upon us. She impressed us with her joy for living and her concern for others. My only regret is that we did not know her well. She was good for you and being in the situation I am in I assure you she is still with you and will be always. Roxanne and I and the church her have you both in our prayers.
Love
Jim and Roxanne Girling

I didn't know Corrina, but share the families pain of loosing someone (my Mother) to Cancer 9 years ago. It's a terrible disease that I hope someday we get closer to fiding a cure.
Strangely my daughters name is the same - only spelt Corinna (Cori to us)
The last name Girling struck a cord with me - as it is not a name you hear often.
Did someone on that side of the family have a Mother/Aunt that taught Elementary school in the 1950's - in South Vancouver (Marpole District) and David Lloyd George Elementary?
