Obituary of Johan Johnson

Johan Johnson 1931 - 2015 Johan Johnson passed away suddenly at his home in Cranbrook on Monday, August 10, 2015. Johan was born on June 26, 1931 in Cranbrook. He grew up and went to school in the Kootenays spending many years living in Wardner. Johan worked in the forestry and logging industry for many years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, hunting, camping and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Johan was a devoted family man. The past few years, Johan enjoyed numerous cruises to Alaska and he would immerse himself in absorbing the beautiful sights of the BC and Alaska coastlines for countless hours. Johan is survived by his two daughters Jo-Ann (Arvid) Myhre and Karin Johnson (Wayne Linderman); four grandchildren Graham Harl, Amanda Potvin, Kristy Ingham and Lee Anna Ingham; six great-grandchildren Chance, Tegan, Ella, Ava, Skyler and Tyson; his brother Ken Johnson; many relatives in Sweden and by his special friend Elmer Nord. He was predeceased by his parents Magnus and Karin Johnson and by his brother Albert Johnson. At Johan's request there will be no service.
