Was so sad to hear of Dougs passing, we grew up together, living side by side out in meadow brook . Spent hours together driving the old panel frame hot rod out in the back 40. Lots of memories. RIP DOUG... Larry & Lynn Bussey.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Berard Family. My fondest memory of Doug was when we went to a Halloween Party at the Bluebird Inn in Cranbrook many years ago. Neither one of us had a date so we just went together. He dressed as a woman and I as a man, all was going well and we were having a lot of laughs on the way to the hall to join the rest of the group. Doug looked in the rear view mirror and cursed a little as we were being pulled over by the RCMP. The cop had a very good sense of humour and we were soon on our way. Janice and family, I am so sorry to hear this. Not living in town for years, I did not know Doug was sick. I am a recent cancer survivor myself. I went all through school with Doug. I knew him and liked him forever. He will be missed. Please take care.
