Obituary of Allan Kiely

1928 - 2011

Mr. Allan "Al" Kiely, beloved husband of Anne Kiely, passed away at the Invermere and District Hospital in Invermere on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the age of 82.

Besides his loving wife, Al is survived by his children Bruce (Kathleen), Pat, Sandy and Daryn (Leona), his grandchildren Daniel Kiely, Fraser and Tara Coote and Kendra Kiely, and his great granddaughter McKenna Kiely. Al is also survived by his brothers Ross and Les Kiely.

The Kiely family would like to express appreciation to the Oncology department at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Al's homecare nurses, Renata and Jessie, and the palliative care unit staff at the Invermere and District Hospital for their kindness and support. They would also like to extend special thanks to Dr. Christopher Gooch, who stood by Al until the end.

Private family services were held on October 11, 2011.
