1918 - 2011
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jack Murray Scott announces his passing on Sunday, December 11, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 93 years of age.
Jack was born on October 6, 1918 in Merritt, British Columbia. Jack was Past Master of the Cranbrook Masonic Lodge #34. He served in the BC Dragoons in WWII and was commissioned as a Lieutenant while in Europe. Jack worked for CPR for 44 years as a Telegrapher and Dispatcher. He was a member of the CPR Railway Pensioners Association. He enjoyed fishing and boating in his earlier years. In later life he enjoyed playing cards, pool and a good game of golf until 2 years ago. Jack was a fifty plus year member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Jack is survived by his daughter Judy (Don) Beach, grandchildren: Scott (Jeanee), Shannon (Keith), Stephen (Christine); great grandchildren: Zachary, Daniel, Jackson, Madalyn and Gregory, his loving partner of many years Gerrie, and her children: Gerri-Anne (Lonnie), Rod and Del (Michelle), Gerrie's grandchildren Stuart (Crystal), Chad (Alisha), Tera (Jason), Laura (Chris), Amanda, Chelsea and Zachary, and her great grandchildren: Nykia, Logan, Kylen, Madison and Riley, and nephew Donald Gellatly (Anne) of Toronto. He was predeceased by his wife Zola, his sister Jean and his brother Robert.
At Jack's request there will be no funeral service. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Jack may do so to the charity of your choice.
