Obituary of Wilma Soles

(nee Fitzsimmons)

1925 - 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Wilma Soles announces her passing on Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 86 years of age.

Wilma was born on August 18, 1925 in Wardner, British Columbia to Harvey and Elsie Fitzsimmons. Wilma married Private Bert Soles on September 11, 1943. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family, her home, her garden and feeding her feathered friends. Her homemade seedy bread was loved by all.

Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her children John (Laurie) Soles, Beth Soles, Terry (Sandy) Soles, Ben (Bonnie) Soles, Sherry (Mike) Hamilton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Bert, her son Frank, her grandson Dennis and her great great grandson Meko.

A memorial service for Wilma will take place at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11:00 am. Her Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Wilma may do so to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Cranbrook Unit, #101, 105 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2M1 or your charity of your choice.
