I never met you, young Mathew, but I can easily see what a truly wonderful person you were. Although you are now gone, you will surely and forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of those who loved you, and in the son who will carry your name forward. Mathew, I know we were just acquaintances who grew up in the same small town, but hearing all the stories your mom tells at work, it feels like I knew you much better! Every inch of your moms work space is plastered in pictures of you kids, and her grand babies. I can't wait to see all the pictures of Hudson that she will put up. You were loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Thinking of you Val, Tony, Michael, Melissa and family. There are no words that could ever ease the pain you must be going through, but you're surrounded by love and support, and I hope that helps give you some strength. I've been profoundly affected by this tremendous loss. Although we haven't seen much of each other in the past 7 years, we went to school together for 10+ years. We went to Quebec, we had birthday parties, trips to Blue Lake and then we both worked at the sawmill during and after high school. Right now, I would give anything to go back just for a day and have the crazy silly fun we used to have - you were such a goofball!

I babysat these three beautiful children years ago. Mathew was so cute and happy. Energetic. Was always a joy to see them. My heart breaks for his family. I loved your kids. There are really no words to say when someone passes so suddenly. Just know your on my mind and in my heart.

I had the pleasure of meeting you through Sharayah and I am so lucky to have known you. You lit up her world, I have never seen her smile the way she does when she looks at you and for that I want to thank you; for making my friend so unbelievably happy! I will always remember the amazing food you made for us while you were visiting and how handy you were to have around the house. I wouldnt have a shampoo rack if it wasnt for you, and my license plate would probably still be taped to by back window. You were an amazing person and my friend was lucky to have you in her life. You left her with an amazing gift, Hudson and I know he will carry on so many of your wonderful traits :) RIP Mat you will be greatly missed
