Auntie Mary took me and my brother Stephen and cousin John, up to the top of York Minster when we were teenagers and staying with her. I was so scared to be so high, but so excited to see the view from the top of the beautiful York Minster! I am now illustrating a children's book on Saint Margaret Clitherow, the 'Pearl of York', who died a martyr to her Catholic faith in the 1600s. Thank you for your loving and regular phone calls Auntie Mary - I will so miss our chats!
