I had the privilege of calling Gerry "Dad" for a decade out of my life. He enriched my life with is love, acceptance, kindness and companionship. I enjoyed many hours of working, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and family picnics with him. He helped me to appreciate life and to experience to a greater level the wonderful world our God has created for us to enjoy. His reputation as an honest, kind and generous man was and is widespread throughout the Cranbrook area and I know that he was held in high regard by many. He will leave a huge "hole" in the hearts of loved ones, including myself. It was an honour to know him and experience first-hand his love of family, the outdoors and those friends dear to him.

I remember Gerry as being a very kind & quiet soul. I also remember what a beautiful wife & daughter & son he had. What a tremendous loss this will cause for the family, friends and community.
