So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Mike many years ago in Cranbrook. He definitely loved his family and was always appeared to be in a good mood. I remember his lunches..... He was careful about his weight and seemed to always have nutritional, untraditional food. I am sorry we never had the chance to meet up again and catch up. My condolences to his family.

I have just learned of the passing of Mike and sadness filled my heart. Mike was a kind, generous, thoughtful and wise man and I will miss him. I am glad I had the chance to meet him and work with him as he was an inspiration. My sincere condolences to all the members of his family and friends. Michel Long

I am very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. My mom worked with him for many years at the UI office in Cranbrook and as a young girl he helped me with getting my social insurance number and making my first resume. He always went of his way for our family and it was greatly appreciated. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers Donna Zmaeff(Macphee)

I knew him as grandpa, and he was an amazing grandpa. Always happy and making everyone else around him happy. You could just see the love in his eyes for everyone he encountered. He always had a wonderful story to tell to you. And it was always memorable. Just like him. I am deeply saddened to say goodbye to my grandpa but I am blessed to have been able to have him in my life. May you rest in peace now grandpa. We love you so much. <3

He was a Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and a friend to the many that knew him... To me he was just Dad... I loved him, i cherished the final moments I spent with him by his side.
