Obituary of Jean Staples

1925 - 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jean Staples announces her passing on Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 86 years of age.

Jean was born in Petrolia, Ontario on August 17, 1925. She worked as an RN for a time, but over the years she dedicated her life to raising her family with great love and joy. Jean loved her time spent with her many groups, her friends and neighbours. Jean was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Jean is survived by her sister Donna, her 3 sons Duncan, (Sandy), Darcy and Greg, her grandchildren Keith, Angie, Joey, Kyle, Jaime, David, Alicia, Tarra, Jono and Shelbey, and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years Joe.

A memorial service for Jean will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the McPherson Funeral Home Chapel in Cranbrook. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Jean can do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
