Well now, I'd really like to be lighting a campfire in Bernie's memory...A campfire after a horse show...a campfire where there was laughter and pride in our animals and our accomplishments. We didn't always win ribbons but there was always a reward in 'riding' with Bernie...Yup,Yup,Yup there was!
I am grateful to have known Bernie for over 40 years, sharing farming and ranching tales and tasks involving crops and cattle, milk cows, pigs, chickens, geese and gardens :-)))...and always horses...horses...horses... for work and for pleasure! As the years passed and we were no so 'active' it was Bernie who always phoned and checked in for a catch-up chat and a memory sharing session. I am missing that but happy with the bank account of memories into which Bernie so often deposited!
All blessings on you Rose and All Your Family. I will be away when you hold Bernie's Memorial but please know that you are being held close with much love, always.........Gerri.
