I am so sorry that I'm unable to be with you for a celebration of Joe's life as he has been a big influence in our family through the wonderful tales that Richard regaled us with about growing up in Kimberley and the big part the Kershaw family played in his youth. On behalf of the family I want you to know how much we treasure the paintings that we have and especially the time he spent in Sicamous painting and enjoying nature. He and Richard saw nature through a similar eye and their paintings sometime mirrored each other which was uncanny but they did grow up together in the Rockies and saw the same majestic beauty. Joe was multi-talented, generous, principled and a solid friend. We are thankful for the influence he continues to have in our memories through his paintings and the colorful memories that Richard given us of his youth. My prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow and celebration of a life lived and ended.
