Al was a special guy - I really enjoyed my talks with him. We'd talk about so many things - he was interested in everything - but the talks about Cranbrook in the old days were extra special. Al will be missed ...by me, for sure. RIP, my friend ....and praying for peace for you, Marilyn.

Marilyn, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad, he was such a wonderful man. I am sure he will be missed by many friends and associates, but never as much as you and your family. But the thing the things to remember is his gentle way and his good nature.

So sorry to hear that Mr. Bakken is gone. We were neighbor's for years. He was a very pleasant, enjoyable person who always had a smile. He loved to talk about the old folks of Cranbrook. Always loved to bump into him in the grocery store. He would always stop to chat & when my hubby got sick he would always be sure to ask how he was doing. A great pioneer of our town. My sincere condolence to all of his family. Lila McGovern
