Dear Sheila and Family,We are so sorry to hear of our dear Ethel's passing. We were so fortunate to have known her and had her as a caregiver to our daughter, Tara. Ethel was such a sweetheart. We loved her. She treated Tara as if she were one of her own grandchildren. She was so kind, caring, gentle and devoted to our Tara. She loved children and that was very evident each and every day. When I would come home for school, she would tell me all the funny things that Tara said or did that day and we would laugh together! In the years that followed, we enjoyed receiving Christmas cards and pictures of your family and in return I would try to keep Ethel up-to-date on Tara and Trent as well. I know Ethel was very proud of her family. I felt as if I knew them all, yet I had never met them. I met you, Sheila, some time ago when you were kind enough to bring your Mom over to our house when she was visiting in Richmond. We have many fond memories of her.I recently lost my Mom on April 29th, Sheila. I miss her dearly. My situation is similar to yours as do not have brothers or sisters either but I also have a wonderful, supportive family.I received your note yesterday but I also received notification from our friend, Tom Getzie (Linda Williams' brother) last night. Thank you very much for thinking of us and letting us know about Ethel. She will be fondly remembered by all of us.With our sincerest condolences,Tanya, Dave, Trent and Tara Cook

Dan and Ann Oleksiuk would like to offer our condolences to her family. Ethel was such a kind and loving person. She came into our life when we needed a special person to look after our first baby, Greg. Ethel truly was a "special person" not only for Greg but Dan and myself. We treasure the time she spent with us. She will always be in our hearts and minds. We were lucky to have known her. All the best to her family.
