Always well grounded in life, Hilda has taken flight to be with Richard. They are both smiling down on us now. You'll be with us always!

...I still remember campfires at Kootenay Lake. The Wilson kids and Redisky kids up very late listening to Richard and Hilda sing "There'll be green Alligators, and Long necked geese".... I also remember that one of Hilda's many talents was doing hair... .... and the great Turtle Hunt and one miserable rainy camping trip.... and something about being able to skin a deer, but I'm not sure i have that right. .... and best of all.. her infectious laugh. It filled a room We'll all miss her.

Julie and Colin (and Redisky Family),I cannot imagine the grief and joy that you are feeling at this time. The joy as you remember and share the stories of your time with your mother and the grief over the fact that your mom has passed on.Though I only met your mother one time, her legacy will live on in the quality of people that you are. Please know that my Family and I will have a mass said in Hilda's memory and I will be praying for her soul to be united with Christ.God Bless,Jeff and Gina McCauley

Many pleasant memories come to mind of Hilda, her friendliness and helpfulness and caring - I will miss her smiling face and cheerful ways on the golf course - Tuesdays and Thursdays will not be the same without her. My sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to all of her family on the loss of Hilda. God Bless!

Hilda will be remembered with great fondness and tenderness--especially for the (what then seemed like) hours Julie, my sister and I sat in her "salon chair" in the kitchen of their Cranbrook home, the odor of hair tonic and the pressure of curlers working to produce the Shirley- Temple "dos" that we proudly sported as our first-ever permanents. I can still hear her gentle scolding of Colin when he would lock both Julie and I in the bathroom and turn off the light, squealing with delight. Our joint camping trips and bon fires, the sing songs led by Richard ("it goes pop when it stops, zip when it moves and whir when it stood still...I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will"),our adventures (led mostly by Colin) to the "nudist" beaches--these are the memories that will never die and the ones I will hold onto with great love and fondess. You will be missed dearly, but I know you are sitting around a campfire with Richard singing and laughing and watching over the rest of us until we see you again.Great love and sympathy to the family,Love the Forgerons
