Obituary of James Alexander Scatterty

September 20, 1939 - September 16, 2009

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Jim Scatterty announce his sudden passing, September 16, 2009 in Kimberley, British Columbia.

Jim lived in Millarville all his life. He enjoyed hockey, baseball and horse racing. In recent years his love and wood working and golf happily filled his days. Jim was a kind and gentle soul who always saw the good in everyone and always cheered for the underdog.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Cathie; son Gerald (Linette) Scatterty; grandsons: Bryer and Derek; daughter Barb (Kit) Davies; grandsons: Braydon, Bryce and Brett; his sister Joan and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Christ Church Millarville with a reception to follow at the Millarville Race Track Hall.
