Obituary of Maurice Stokes

"Papa Moe" 1947 - 2009

It is with great sorrow that the family of Maurice Stokes announces his passing on Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 62 years of age.

Moe was born on February 24, 1947 in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. He retired from BC Hydro/BCTC in 2008 after 35 years of service. His greatest ambition in life was to have a home and family, both of which he achieved. "That was easy".

Moe leaves to mourn his passing, his 5 children: Tina (Brent) Fisher and their children: Danica, Jolie and Maddison; Lisa (Ken) Pretty and their children: Taylor, Jack, Kate and Olivia; Miranda (Tom) White and their children: Presley and Dawson; David (Lianne) Stokes and their children Jessica and Ethan; Daniel (Joanna) Stokes and their daughter Kali; 3 siblings: Maureen, Emmett and Pat.

He was predeceased by his brother Stiles.

At Moe's request, there will not be a funeral service.
