I was so sorry to hear about Dean's passing but am sure she is enjoying a good guffaw with all her friends and family. Nuisances like height (or lack thereof) or hearing will no longer be an issue, not that it ever slowed her down.Dean was always incredible fun to be around. She was a big part of our family from as long as I can remember and I always looked forward to seeing her. I'm really going to miss her...Love, Jill (one of Brian and Shirlea's girls)

Probably the reason I was so surprised to hear of Deanie's death is that I can't even put her and death in the same sentence. She was a lively person, overflowing with fun and good feelings. She cared a lot about family, friends and community and gave from her heart. She will be missed deeply in Cranbrook, but also far around. My sympathy to her family and all the close friends I know she had. Anne Edwards.

Dear Dean will be missed so much by so many. I was fortunate to have met Dean and Archie very early in my transition "to the West". Dean has been a superior friend, confidant, and mentor throughout the years. I don't think I had an encounter with Dean that didn't bring a smile or a laugh to my day, with her jokes, stories or wit. Dean had many attributes that we would all do well to imitate and practice more for a fuller life.Bless her. "Lou" PattersonTrail BC

It is sad to hear of Dean's passing. Though we didn't see her often she always had a smile and a joke when we met.Dean is a legend to the people that had the good fortune to cross paths with her. Her wit and humour will always be remembered with amazement. Godspeed Dean.
