Obituary of Bernadine Winifred Leonard

1925 - 2009

With great sorrow the family of Bernadine Winifred Leonard announces her passing on Monday, November 2, 2009 in Calgary, AB. She was 84.

Dean was born on June 30, 1925 in Lumberton, B.C. She remembered fondly her nurse's training at St. Paul's Hospital, and friends that she made there. She worked as a public health nurse throughout B.C. She was happiest when entertaining family and her many dear friends at home on Jim Smith Lake.

Predeceased in 1995 by her husband Archie, Dean leaves behind her sister Anna Sauer of Lethbridge, AB and family; brother Joe (Donna) Conroy of Cranbrook, and their family; 2 granddaughters and 1 great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Dean will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
