Russel,
I can't put into words the feelings I have experienced with your sudden passing this week.
I know how much pain you were in and it is a comfort to know that in the end you went peacefully.
There are not lot of people I can say have known all of my life but you sir, were one. I will forever replay in my mind your morning belches, diabolical laughter and shouting up and down the the hill. My upbringing is so intertwined with you and your family that you became part of our own family. It is still one of the worst days on record when the Allen's left the island.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to visit with you this summer and share what I didn't know at the time would be our last joke.
I will miss you for the rest of time. Thank you for my life long best friend in Kristin.
