December 11th, 1932 – June 15th, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Denny Nelligan, June 15th, 2021, at the age of 88.
Denny was born in Blue River, British Columbia, December 11th, 1932, to his parents Eileen and Ted Nelligan. Denny was raised in Creston where he met the love of his life of 68 years Patricia Nelligan. Denny and Pat later moved to Cranbrook where they raised their 5 children, and where they remained.
Denny was passionate about his career with the Cranbrook Fire Department, retiring as a lieutenant after 32 years. Denny also spent many years driving for the BC Ambulance Service. Denny enjoyed and excelled in many sports, loved traveling and enjoyed sitting on his deck enjoying the small things in life – but most importantly was his family. Denny’s greatest joy was family, his brilliant smile would light up any room when surrounded by his kids and grandkids.
Denny was predeceased by his mother Eileen, his father Ted, brothers Doug and Reg, grandson Bradey and great grandson Keagan.
Denny is survived by his loving wife Pat, his brothers Keith and Pat, sister Anita and his children Dennis (Barb), Matt (Linda), Paul (Connie), Tammy (Todd) and Peter (Sandra), 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
