So sorry I could not attend the service, Helen. Although I am feeling a lot better, could not take the chance that I might have a coughing session. Instead, I watched the service online and it was so touching. In addition to my mom, he was one of the most decent, kind, generous people I have ever known. I will always remember how he lit up when he saw my mom and how he treated her with such respect and kindness. Roscoe was a true friend. I only wish we had known him many years ago. Al and I will truly miss him and will always cherish the time we spent together, especially the time we spent with you in Australia. I think of him with fondness and a smile on my face every time I open the dishwasher - and I wonder if Roscoe would approve of the way I’ve stacked the dishes! Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. Keep him close with your many wonderful memories. We are grateful to have known him and will treasure our memories. Hugs from Al and Angie

Roscoe had his favourites, but he was certainly a favourite for many of us. He will always be our favourite neighbour and our favourite BC friend. Driving up to our home will never be the same without Roscoe's welcoming smile. We miss seeing Roscoe puttering in the yard, planting potatoes, or heading out on his bike ride. We will miss Roscoe's watching eye always looking out for us. I will never forget when we were new neighbours and Shawn and I got stuck in a hailstorm on our motorcycles. We had just pulled over when the phone rang. It was Roscoe insisting he come get us. He had seen us leave, and hadn't seen us return. He didn't know how far away we were - and it wouldn't have mattered. He was there for us as he has been there for so many others.
Lake Drive is empty and will never be the same without our kind, warm and always smiling friend.
Our deepest condolences to Helen, Kindry, Kym, Makenna, Malin, Colby and the Dalke family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Roscoe. He will be greatly missed. He always was kind & with a good sense of humour. I wish things in the world would be slightly different as we miss getting together at the Hamilton Reunions to see everyone. May Roscoe be at peace and to all his family & friends we offer our deepest condolences. Take care.

To all of our family members
I spent very little time with your family other than reunions
I will though remember Roscoe as Dave said by his infectious smile
My wife Dee and I will not be able to attend but bring forth very good thoughts to your family going forward as this is how we should remember
With deep respect

Roscoe's smile is forever burned into my memories. I feel lucky to have shared a few laughs and stories at the family reunions over the years. What a guy!

Oh Roscoe, my dear friend, I have never known a person who has your joie de vivre. You enjoyed and made the most out of every moment you spent on this plane and for that I admire you. You not only enjoyed every moment, you took everyone in your path along with you. You had such a positive impact on all who knew you and you will be greatly missed. I rarely saw you without that beautiful smile on your face. I won't say rest in peace because that is not your style. Continue your good work on the other side and we will catch up with you later.

Barb and I met Roscoe in the Oncology Dept. at the EK Regional Hospital when both he and Barb were battling cancer.. We had numerous conversations with Jim about his travels around the world and his athletic accomplishments. He was a very interesting man to talk to and a real nice guy. Our condolences to his family at this very sad time.
