I am heart broken to hear of Susan's passing, yet comforted to know she is no longer suffering. In 2015, my partner, daughter and I met Susan in a Family Support Group when we were all in so much pain over the grip addiction had on our loved ones. Susan and I connected quickly and at a very deep level. We supported one another through many sleepless nights and long days of not knowing whether we would ever hear our children's voices again. Susan's strength and acceptance of her powerlessness was so helpful for me, I learned how to Let Go and Let God with her help. She was such a strong woman. She shared so many happy stories about her kids, her very active Mom, the family's love of skiing and life at the cabin. I know that one of her greatest joys was bearing witness to Jess's transformation after so much heartache. Gene and I were so happy to catch up with Susan at Sully's in Kimberley last year while passing through on our honeymoon. I'll never forget her. Sending love and light to you all at this difficult time. Rest Easy, my dear friend Susan... until we meet again <3
