Olive, you did good. Condolences to Dave and family. I lived right beside Olive and Dave on 5th Street in Cranbrook from 2002-2006. She popped by and said hello and shared baking a few times. We kept an eye on each others’ gardening abilities and swapped stories. She ‘supervised’ me from the window that faced the side of our house as I bailed water from our washing machine that had backed up. I visited in the Bjerstedt home twice for sure and had tea and dessert with Olive while Dave watched the tube. Your kindness has never gone unnoticed and once we moved back to Alberta, exchanged Christmas cards and phone conversation on a few occasions. This past December I hadn’t done my usual slough of cards though planned to mail something to Olive and Dave soon to say hello. I popped in once to the second hand store Olive was working at. She brought a gift to us after our second daughter was born in 2003. Olive has the brightest eyes, and do they twinkle! My mom was asking about Olive today as we caught up with some extended family on my Dad’s side (from Cranbrook) earlier this week. Mom thought to Google and we found that Olive had passed, sadly. You are missed Olive. Blessings to all missing her, with love.
