Obituary of Lloyd Andrew Freestone

Please share a memory of Lloyd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With deep regret we announce the passing of Lloyd Andrew Freestone

March 19, 1954 – May 4, 2022

Lloyd always found humour, even in the most difficult situations and when he was in the most pain. He’d try to make you feel better by making a joke and bringing a smile to your face, He was the strongest person- very rarely did he need help with the things he was doing- even when in pain himself, he was always able to complete whatever tase he had on hand.

He was very proud of his yard- he always kept it beautiful with lots of flowers, gnomes and knick knacks. He was also very proud of his published books, even though he didn’t make any money with them. Writing kept him busy and his mind active. He was always thinking and jotting things down. He had a book on the go all the time- he only published three, (Intervention, Loss of a Legend and For What it’s Worth) however he wrote over twenty.

He was caring, thoughtful, and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help at all.

Trevor says “He was kind and caring beneath that gruff face and opened his home to some useless boys and made us a part of the family, even doing a house reno to make room for us.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Connie, daughter Kayla (Brian Castle), Grandson Dreven, Foster sons Trevor Banks (Sarah), and David Walker. Foster daughters Tina Kayne Smith and Samara (Tim) Sullivan. Siblings Wayne (Heather) Freestone, Myrna (Bert) McCann, Karen (John) Flowers, Riita (Lloyd) Dool and sister-in-law Joyce Freestone.
