Obituary of Daniel Sean Adgey

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of our father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Daniel Sean Adgey. Daniel passed peacefully at his home alongside his daughter and grandson, Tuesday March 7, 2023.

Daniel was born in Scarborough Ontario.  During his childhood he and his brother lived with and was raised by his Opa and Oma whom he cared for dearly. In his adolescence he joined scouts and played baseball. He loved fantasy and had a brilliant imagination. In 2006 he had met and married his soulmate Manaya. They lived in Edmonton where he worked at West Edmonton Mall for many years as a bartender and banquet coordinator.

In December 2020 after being widowed earlier in the fall, he moved to the little mountain town, Kimberley to be closer to his daughter, her husband and his grandchildren. It’s here that he achieved much personal growth. He found an abundance of support from the kind people he met and the similar interests and hobbies he shared with them. He, himself was a truly genuine and kindhearted individual and will be deeply missed. We love you and our memories will be cherished forever more.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Michelle and her husband Peter and his grandchildren, Tristan and Katelynn. Dearly missed by his brother Kevin as well as his sister Karen and her husband Tim. His niece Hannah and nephew Devan were very close to him as was his Uncle Eric. Many memories will be cherished by his  close, and long distance friends and family.

Daniel was predeceased by his wife Manaya Adgey (2020).

The Celebration of Daniel’s life will be a private service.
