Dear cousin Patsy & family,
The aged song asks a heart rending question...
Does Jesus care when l've said "good-bye" To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks---
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Gary seemed so full of life, unselfish and disarming. An example of simplicity as he pursued the unadorned biblical values in his daily walk of life.
Though our interactions have been few, pleasant memories will linger and remind us that we too must soon meet our maker.
Oh, yes, He cares, l know He cares! His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares. (He cares.)
Our love & friendship, Weldon & Ruth

To the Semenyna Family,
Although much time has passed, modern communications permit us to learn of events like never before, and thus I discovered of Gary’s passing. Gary and I were besties at school through elementary and junior high in Evansburg. Gary always cleaned up at the annual track meets with red ribbons. We used to call him Cheetah because he could run so darn fast, and jump so high (and far). Primarily through sports, I was also able to have much history with your entire family. It was always a thrill as a young boy to get to spend the day at your farm. I remember so well the smell of Zest soap entering the home! I haven’t seen Gary for many years but the posted picture betrays his identity through that one of a kind smile. It is with the highest respect for the entire Semenyna family to be permitted deepest condolences on the world’s loss.

God honouring. It was so evident to those who knew him that Gary loved God and sought to honor Him with His life.
Fun. I loved Gary’s laugh and fun-loving personality - Patsy definitely drew this further out of him!
Gentle. His soft yet strong voice. I agree with Colin that he always spoke with authority. People couldn’t help but listen when he spoke.
People. Gary loved people. You could see it in his eyes when he listened with great kindness. I know that your whole family greatly impacted those in our church and community. We were so grateful that God brought you here at a time when our congregation also really needed you.
Family. I felt so privileged to step among all of you during family pictures and precious wedding moments. You gave me a little glimpse into your world, the love you had for each other, and the fun you enjoyed together. Thank you.
Creativity. From crafting things with his hands to drawing you into a story. God’s creative nature was expressed through Gary.
Semenya family, our hearts are so heavy for you. We so desperately wanted to be there and with you all this week. You were constantly in our prayers. But even as we grieve with you, we also rejoice with you. We cannot thank God enough that His grace covers Gary today and that He is with King Jesus.
