To the Thompson Family, I was saddened to read about Carol's passing. I have fond memories of Carol teaching me how to be a cashier at Super Valu - scanning and bagging groceries, collecting identification for cheques and counting back the change to the customer so your till balanced at the end of your shift. Ah yes, she made it all so fun and would cackle with laughter when I made mistakes! May Carol's voice resonate in your memory and her wit make you laugh on the days you need it most. Susan and I met Carol 48 years ago when we moved to Cranbrook with Super Valu. She welcomed us with her warm sincere smile and made us feel welcomed. Her never ending energy was always inspiring. We camped with Jim and Carol at Peckhams Lake which was both of our favourite place to be. Her smile and zest for life will be missed. Our deepest condolences to you Jim and all the family. She was a person that enjoyed her life and fortunate were all of you to share in that. Larry and Susan DeMarchi

Carol was a special lady that will be dearly missed. Met her while she was at super value and I worked next door at bank of Montreal. We always had a laugh or two. She had a smile that never quit. All my best to Jim and family.

My condolences to the whole Thompson family. Carol, Mrs. Thompson as I grew up calling her, was a second mom to me. I spent a lot of time with Jan and if we weren’t at my house, we were at hers. What I remember the most about her is her contagious laugh and her love of Hawaii. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
