I am so very sorry to have missed the service, and am still not over the shock of Carol's passing. I've know Carol for years through the BCGEU office and feel very blessed to have spent 8 solid weeks with her this past spring. She was selfless, hard working, and always had good advice. I will miss her terribly and send my sincere condolences to her family, especially her grandkids who she talked about often and loved to pieces. Dear Cheryl, Brandon, Dale, and family, My deepest sympathies for each of you, your spouses & children at this tender time. To lose Carol & Barry within a week of each other is unprecedented! May the Lord shed His Love and comfort over you the next several weeks and months through the grieving process. Cheryl, my late husband, Kirt, spoke of such fond memories of the “twins, Carol & Cheryl “, while serving his mission in the early 1970’s there in Cranbrook. He loved you both! Brandon and Dale, Kirt stayed in contact with your mom while you were both serving your missions, cheering your mom on and adding his support. He thought a lot of your family. Your mom wrote the sweetest message on Kirt’s obituary memory page in October of 2021. These are her exact words…”I can say only, with all the intensity of my heart, I am grateful to know that life does not end here. Till we meet again, Kirt.” Sending love & comfort, Goodbye is not forever. Goodby is not the end. It simply means I’ll miss you Until we meet again. ~Julie McFarland (late husband Kirt)~
