Dear Wendy & Family, So sorry to hear of Rob's passing. I was just thinking recently that I hadn't seen Rob for a long time , but never expected to find out by looking at the obituaries on the McPherson site. Unfortunately, Sharon and I were not available to be at the celebration because I have mobility issues and waiting for a hip replacement. Life is short and the Bible says that it is "like a vapor" that passes away quickly. The Bible is our hope and comfort in times like these. If Sharon and I can help you in any way, call us at 250 464 5183. It would be our joy if we could be of any help to you. I always respected Rob and I am sure he will be missed by many. For me, Rob was 'Uncle Rob' and as a kid I always looked forward to the summer days spent at the family home and around Creston, B.C. He was incredibly generous with his time taking us to places in the Kootenays I would never have visited otherwise - from alpine lakes to out of the way rivers to the other places in the wilderness he opened up with his magic set of keys! I always loved hearing his stories which seemed too outlandish or funny to believe but they always seemed to be very real and true. RIP Uncle Rob. - Jamie Clerf

Rob was an amazing man My boss for years at the gas companies. We had fun fishing for bass at Mauson Lake where Rob had a tussle with an Owl who wanted his lure one late evening. Hunting ducks in Creston pn the flats after crossing the Goat River in a pickup truck, hearing a very loud booming noise that turned out to be an ice jam letting go upstream and we cpuld not get back across the river without the help from Frank with his excavator to pull us through. So many good times. I will miss him and his many great stories which always had humor.

Barb, Mark and Wendy, and all of Robs family. You are in our thoughts. We have many good memories of Rob, sharing our insurance office with Rob and the natural gas employees for many years. We had many good visits, shared many views on everything, and became good friends. Thank you Wendy, for attending our 60th anniversary in the spring of 2023, in Creston, with Rob. It was good to meet again in our senior years. We won't be able to attend the service, but will listen online. Thank you Barb, for keeping in touch. Reg and Anne Mann
