John Sirosky 1948 - 2015 John Sirosky of Wycliffe passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 9, 2015 with his wife by his side at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. John was born on July 23, 1948 in Davidson, SK. He attended St. Peters College in Munster, SK. In 1967, while training at Riverview Hospital in Port Coquitlam, BC as a nursing student John met Vickie Albertan who was also a nursing student. They were married in 1970 in New Westminster, BC. John and Vickie moved to Wycliffe, BC in 1973 and bought a farm. Here, they raised their children and spent many joyful times with their much loved extended family. John was a parishioner at the Praise Fellowship Church and more recently the Cranbrook Alliance Church. John was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. John will be sadly missed. He was loved by all who knew him. John was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting and hockey but baseball was his passion. He was a member of the BC Nurses Union, and worked as a graduate nurse for 25 years in the Kimberley Hospital and East Kootenay Regional Hospital. John is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Vickie; his children Rob, Shannon, Corrie and Quentin; two beautiful granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Angelica and Elaine. Also by his sister Florence (Raymond) Talbot, nieces Lisa and Melissa, his beloved brother-in-law Ken (Ann) Albertan, nephew David, niece Beth and numerous aunts and uncles and special uncle and aunt Steve and Anne Sedmak. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, and his in-laws. Following John's request, no memorial service will be held.
