Obituary of Jean Aimee Whitlock

1927 - 2011

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jean Aimee Whitlock announces her passing on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 84 years of age in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Jean was born on January 24, 1927 in Drumheller, Alberta. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Red Hat Club. She loved dancing, painting, camping and fishing. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.

Jean is survived by her son Gerry (Lisa) Whitlock, her daughter Susan Schadlich, her grandchildren Mariah Whitlock, Lindsay Schadlich and Justin Schadlich, and her friend and companion Onidas Chasse. She was predeceased by her husband L. Arthur Whitlock and her sister Mary Forsman.

A memorial service for Jean will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the McPherson Funeral Home Chapel in Cranbrook. There will be a private family Interment for Jean at a later date and a plaque in her memory will be placed on the Book Of Remembrance in Serenity Gardens in Westlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Jean may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
